How to make a Hot Honey Ginger Lemon 热柠蜜姜

I am suffering with sore throat and stuffy nose this few days. Took some flu medicine with lozenges but the medicine really taste bad. So I decided to make my own vitamin-C drink which will help to cure my flu and sore throat before my weekend run.

How to make a hot honey lemon ginger drink?
Its easy.

1 bottle of honey ginger 350g Capilano Twist Squeeze bottle from NTUC fairprice
1 piece of fresh lemon from NTUC fairprice -SGD0.40

Steps by Steps:
1) Boil some hot water.
2) cut the lemon into slices
3) squeeze some lemon juice into a cup.
4) squeeze a bit of honey ginger into the same cup.
5) pour in the hot water and stir.
6) there is no step 6, the drink is ready for your throat, just sit back and enjoy your drink.

Note: Do not mixup lime and lemon, lime is in green and lemon is in yellow skin.

Melaka Trip - What to see in Melaka - Weekend getaway from Singapore

Art at MelakaMelaka had been listed as a Heritage place on 7 July 2008. So what you can expect to see in Melaka? Here I would like to share some photos with all of you. The building with full of painting not only along Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lok where most of the cafe and guest house located but along the river side as well. After lunch / dinner walk along the river side will give you some surprise if you like the wall painting. You even can take the boat tour along the river. But I would suggest you to take the boat tour during late evening where you can enjoy the sunset at some part of the river as well.

Where to 'Makan' (Eat) in Melaka (Malacca)

Been dragging for so long to post the details about my Sep trip to Malacca. Been too busy with both work and life.
I would like to share with all the places where you can hangout in Malacca and places where you can get food.
Everytime I went to Melaka, two places I will and must visit for food. The chicken rice (the Chung Wah coffee shop) and Calanthe Art Cafe for coffee.
There are a few places selling the chicken rice ball in Melaka Jalan Hang Jebat but the most famous is the Chung Wah Coffee shop where the chicken taste so good (without smells) but beware for the long queue during lunch time.
For the Calanthe Art Cafe at Jalan Hang Kasturi, I always like to drop by to have different type of coffee as they are famous with the 13 states coffee from Malaysia. [google plus for Calanthe Art Cafe].
Besides this two places, you always can get nice food at Jonker walk at Jalan Hang Jebat during night time. If you do not have any own transportation to go around but still would like to try out the local 'lok lok', you can get it from a mini van near the entrance of Jonker walk. The price is expensive compare with others 'lok lok' shops along Jalan Ong Kim Wee but still, worth to give it a try. You also can get some local food from the Jonker walk street and if you go around the near by few streets such as Jalan Hang Kasturi, Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lok, there are plenty of cafe and restaurant.

Chilli Crab from Long Beach at East Coast Park

Today we went to Long Beach seafood restaurant at east coast park for lunch cum birthday celebration for my friends. Seriously this place really had very nice chilli crabs and the services are awesome as well. We ordered the fried bun (mun tou), they are no longer serving the small bun but a medium size with a place with 2 buns costing SGD0.90. We also ordered baby kailan with garlic and a crab that was about 1kg in size which cost us SGD56 for the chilli crabs dish.  Check out their promotions here. [details]. The outlet we went was the main branch of the restaurant which just located beside the ECP burger king. Beside this, there are 5 outlets in total in Singapore. 2 in east coast park, 1 in dempsey, 1 at IMM, Jurong east and the last one is at Kallang Park. [check out the outlet here]

Go India at Vivo City

This quarter department dinner we went to "Go India" restaurant at Vivo City, Singapore.
The department committee purchased the Groupon voucher 6pax for dinner buffet with only SGD112 where normal price will be SGD197.76 including GST. [Groupon for "Go India" deals] .
Due to the group is quite big, we had been allocated to sit inside (there is a outside seat where you can see the broadwalk with better view. Note: there will be fireworks on friday & Saturday night at VivoCity for Anniversary celebrating during early December).
The variety of the food is not many. About 20 including fruits and desert. The fresh fruit juice is not really fresh as claimed by my colleague. I ordered a new drink that I never tried before, Jal Jeera while most of my colleagues ordering the mango lassi (mango yoghurt) which they said with better taste compare with fresh fruit juice. What is Jal Jeera? I have no idea, but I'm willing to try something new and trying to be food adventurous.  The appearance of the drink is not attractive. But the taste gave me a bit of surprise. Its sour from your first sip but there were after taste deep down in your throat where you tasted a bit spicy and mint. I told others that I tasted pepper. No kidding, pepper taste in the drink. My colleague helped to google for the ingredient and here you are,  [cumin, ginger, black pepper, mint, black salt, some fruit powder (usually either mango, or some kind of citrus zest), and chili or hot pepper powder ] I was so shocked, so many type of spice in a drink. That is really a mixed taste drink where it just confuse your taste buds that you have no idea what you are tasting.
Well, overall, ok to try out with promotions price (for me, its free food). But I prefer annalakshmi with more variety even though its vegetarian food.  Some food photos for sharing.

Nice Sunset @ Vivo City

Sharing. Nice sunset view at Vivo City during the rainy weekend.

Asian Kitchen @ Vivo City

We went to Asian Kitchen at Vivo City over the weekend for dinner last week. Ordered my favorite Zha Jiang Mian (minced meat noodles - pork) and steamed pork and prawn dumpling. This is my second time having their Zha Jian Mian and still the noodles is really chewy and elastic and our first time trying the steamed pork and prawn dumpling. We always had the steamed pork dumpling from Ding Tai Fung but never tried anything like thiss, pork mixed with prawn.
Surprisingly the dumpling taste good. As the prawn is located inside the dumpling. After sipping the soup in the dumpling and chewing the minced meat, suddenly the whole full size prawn was hidden inside the meat. Nice surprise.

Sales at Campers Corner

Went to campers corner last few weeks and it was on sales. The sales started on Saturday but we went on Sunday. Surprisingly, the place was so crowded. Maybe due to the travelling season now where everyone is looking for outdoor clothing or jackets.
I tried to search for stuff that suit me but only able to get a Marmott wind breaker which really good. Thinking to get myself a fleece but out of my size. :( so sad.
I was so sad and told my friend maybe we should came on the first day but what we heard from the staff there, the first day was really crowded and you hardly to see the thing but buyers. lol...

Bonchon Chicken @ Bugis +Mall

visited bugis + mall (previously was call illuma) few weeks ago and tried to find the alternative for korean friend chicken and we found this place. BonChon Chicken. We ordered the chicken with hot source and a white rice. Not really cheap. The total bills was SGD19.50.
Taste wise I still prefer 4Fingers fried chicken where they really deep fried it until the chicken wing is very dry and you even can chew the bones and swallow it. But not the chicken wing from BonChon where I found it still have the frozen taste. (frozen taste does not means that the food was not well cook but just is a left over taste for frozen food that you can taste and know it.) Overall, I still prefer 4fingers chicken wings in Orchard ION.
