Drinks: Camomile tea bag
Base: Sky flakes crackers
Middle layer : Ovomaltine and banana
Top: strawberry

Ingredient:
2 small strawberries (cut into slices)
Half banana
Some spread (ovomaltine, you can use Nuttella, cheese or any other jam/spread you like)
Sky flakes crackers 1 small packets (3 big pieces inside where you can crack it to 9 small slices)

It's simple, easy, can be done within 5 mins for preparations, delicious, colorful and awesome.

ps: I personally find ovomaltine too sweet but with the crackers and strawberry, both neutral the taste and make it more refreshing and the sweetness just nice for me.

Green finger point on the Avocado

Trying to plant the avocado from the seeds. One is going to two weeks and another one just a day old.

Not sure how will be my luck. But I google and YouTube before I tried this out.

Cross my fingers and hope it works!!! But my room is lack of the sunlight and I think that's the draw back.

Happy gardening :)

E!ght Korean BBQ @Central

Trying the Korean BBQ at the Central, as my friend said this place is nice.

First time having the 8 different flavor of BBQ pork. It's awesome. With free flow of appetizer like kimchi, salted lotus root etc.

We ordered the sea food stock. Overall I like the place. The interior and the good. But I understand from my friend having in Korea is way much cheaper compare with here.

My Next 10 Years Plan

Since now I realized my initial retirement plan are not going to work.  I told myself I another plan and another 10 years and I will try to list out as detail as possible on the plan.
The rule of the list,  the list will only grow but no reduce.

This morning I squeeze out 3 items.

1) Passive income of SGD 2,000 per month. (I think with SGD 2,000 minimum as passive income, I should be able to retired).

2) I want to have more time spending with my family at least 5 hrs per day.

3) I want to reduce my working time from current 10 hours to 4 hours.

Life quote

My Lifetime First 100k

This month, after I get my pay check and like usual setting aside some more for so call my retirement plan. (My Initial Retirement Plan), finally I see my lifetime first 100k of saving.

But I know all this still far away from my retirement plan although I have the 100k of cash. What is the problem of 100k? Well, there is no problem with the 100k of money, the problem is cash. Meaning, I do not own anything at all. Yes nothing. No asset, no property, no life insurance. Nothing.

That is the risk. The money can get depreciate. When I am 40, for sure the 100k value will not be same as 100k as now.

I am still proud of myself for working hard and able to save that much of money despite I am only a normal executive who is not working in a MNC company (MNC for sure the pay will be much different). But still something is lacking here.

I had spend my most energetic 10 years working hard and the 100k is what I got. I know if another 10 years I will not be able to work as hard as previous. My body would not allow this. This is the critical part.

My Initial Retirement Plan

I have this so call retirement plan in my heads when I graduate from college about 9 years ago.
I was just graduated from a non-famous Malaysia University on Oct-2004. Lucky enough to get hired on March 2005 earning SGD 2,200 that time as a IT support Analyst in a local government link company.

What was in my mind that time, I will give myself some time till I am 40. Then I will retired. That time I call the thought as retirement plan with basically no detail planning at all and its purely just a thought and what we call it as just a dream.

9 years passed and now I am only about 5.5 years away before I reached my 40. I only can tell, I do not think I can retired on that age.

Why?
1) My initial plan does not have any details at all.
2) What is my current saving or asset? definitely I cant retired when I reach 40. (will explain in depth).

Back these few days I kept thinking and something keep bothering me. How and when I can retired?
I do not want to work to feed myself when I am more than 50. I should be only work because I am happy on what I am working on when I age 50 or more.

What I want? what should I do? My initial plan for sure will failed me.
I know I could not escape from all these. Face it now or face it later.

You & Mee Indonesia Noodles @United Square Novena

Noodles is my favorite but seriously I had never ever tried the Indonesia noodles before until my colleague who is from Inonesia brought me to this place, You & Mee in united square.

We ordered different noodles Mee Bakso (first photo)and Mee Kang Kung (last photo). How is the taste? Well, you have to follow the instructions. Depends on which one you ordered there is a reference for what chilli you have to put in to enhance the taste of the noodles.

For me, I always like the first type of chilli. There are 7 in total, from blended red chilli to chilli in vinegar to white strong vinegar alone. Pick yours, mix it up and just enjoy.

The price, surprisingly ok, with around SGD5 per bowl. You can always topup with drinks/desert or crackers.

There also card for you to collect chop where you can redeem items like desert, free drinks or free bowl of noodles.

👍👍👍

Worth to try!!!

Talk about Sheng Siong again

This stock OV8 cross over the 20das of MA for yesterday trading 9 June 2014, closing at 0.63 and hitting high at 0.64.
What's the push?! The news came out from channel news Asia last night around 8pm. Sheng Siong is acquiring a 3 attorney building in the Singapore most high population district -Tampines.
In the news, the spokesman reveal that they are going to have the store open on early of 2015 and have the lessed put unit for next year onwards as well.
This definitely a new good sign to see Sheng Siong management is making the move to debut with the existing competitors NTUC and Dairy Farm.
Invest smart and happy investing. Hope to see more price cheong all the way up!!!

A Lite Talk about Top 5 reason why I buy Sheng Siong

Here I would like to share with everyone, Top 5 reason why I invest in Sheng Siong.
1) Everyone do grocery no matter in both Good & Bad Time
No matter the economy in good shape or not, everybody still do grocery and one main thing to highlights. Everyone pay them cash $$. Even you are using your credit card, bank will pay the merchant and you owe money to bank not the merchant.

2) Singapore Populations Growth
Singapore populations is growing. This means that household doing grocery will be more. Even you say that you don't do grocery. Do you eat? yes? where the food comes from? food court? Then where the person buy the grocery? from places like wet market, sheng sing, ntuc, giant, cold storage etc.

3) Free From Debt
I am glad to see Sheng Siong is currently maintaining Free of debt. Yes, totally no debt at all.

4) Good Cash on Hand
Not just no debt. They have thick cash on hand for them to hunt for new store and grow.

5) Dividend payout
Calculations based on 0.63 as at 6 June 2014.
YearTotal AmountYield %
20140.0142.2222
20130.02954.6825
20120.02774.3968

But there are things to watch out as well. NTUC & DairyFarm are Sheng Siong main competitors and both owns many stores outlet.

Well Invest wisely and good luck!

Yi Jia Chun, Soup for lunch @ The Archade Raffles Place Singapore

Recommended by my colleague Yi Jia Chun at The Archade Raffles Place (CBD area). I paid my visit to this place few weeks ago when I went to The Archade during lunch time for money changes before my Hong Kong Trip. (The Archade famous with the money changing centre with the high rate).  I ordered (take away) the black fungus mushroom soup soup with white rice. There are also pumpkin rice/yam rice for your selections (SGD2) or you can just pick white rice.  Beside the soup, there are others side dish for your selections. The soup taste is nice. At least not like other places with a lots of MSG and the chicken (meat) inside the soup is really a big slice. This definitely worth the money. Nice place to drop by for lunch at CBD area like this with reasonable cost. The price of the soup is about SGD4 to SGD5. Additional cost for additional items like rice, side dish etc.
If you want to try the soup, not necessary need to drop by at the Raffles Place as they have several branches island wide as below. But if you drop by at The Archade as well, the store is just beside the 7-eleven store. There will be some queue during weekday lunch hour.

Steamboat dinner at Heng Heng Curry Cafe

Hot steamboat for dinner after a tiring working day is always my favourite. First time trying the steamboat at Heng Heng Curry Cafe. This place famous with the local food curry fish head, but how about their steamboat?  The steamboat is good for two person (actually my friend and I have some hard time to finish it).  Beside the steamboat, my favourite snacks from this place, the fried pumpkin is another one must try. Overall the steamboat nothing special like other places. The ingredient is fresh but not much of seafood. Mostly vege and mushroom which suit my taste.

Mount Kinabalu Climb - Day 1 at Mesilau

After the van took us from Kinabalu park gate to Mesilau, we were both so happy they allowed us for early checkin. (We reached before 2pm). We book for dorm and surprised me the condition of the place is quite good. The staffs let us check in to Bishop Head one, which inside have about 8 toilets, a big living room with two big round sofa, a big kitchen where you can boiled some hot water with the electric kettles. Inside the room, there are 2 double deckers. Since only two of us, both of us can have the lower bunk. All the 4 beds equip with reading lights and there were mineral water provided and shower gel as well. We were so happy as previously I thought the condition of the room will be not so good as we only book for dorm. But surprisingly the place is quite clean and comfortable.
After putting down our stuffs, we wore our jacket and step out from the place. Time to explore the Mesilau resort. Beside dorm, there were chalet with very nice view. It's good and more comfortable if you have big groups of friends travelling. Mesilau is about 2000m above sea level and the air is fresh and cooling. I put on my Beanie all day long to cover my ears and buff for my neck and of cause my north face jacket.
After exploring the charlet, we went I to the Mesilau nature park. Due to its still early we are like owned the whole place our own. After that, we decided to went back for a short nap. After about an hour we were woke up by some chatting voices. Seems like there are someone else checking to the Boshop Head 1 as well. The place have about 4 big bedroom. There were 4 Chinese girls checking in to another room. 2 mandarin speaking and the other two speaks Cantonese. We said hi before step out for our free dinner from the restaurant. Well, I was quite worried with the temperature as I am a person that not use to cold weather. The cold make me nervous and I can't eat well and feel that my tummy filled up with gas. The restaurant serving nice hot soup which make me feels better and we get to met with a lots of others hikers during dinner. After dinner we went back early as the next day we have to wake up early for the hike.
