My Next 10 Years Plan

Since now I realized my initial retirement plan are not going to work.  I told myself I another plan and another 10 years and I will try to list out as detail as possible on the plan.
The rule of the list,  the list will only grow but no reduce.

This morning I squeeze out 3 items.

1) Passive income of SGD 2,000 per month. (I think with SGD 2,000 minimum as passive income, I should be able to retired).

2) I want to have more time spending with my family at least 5 hrs per day.

3) I want to reduce my working time from current 10 hours to 4 hours.

Life quote

My Lifetime First 100k

This month, after I get my pay check and like usual setting aside some more for so call my retirement plan. (My Initial Retirement Plan), finally I see my lifetime first 100k of saving.

But I know all this still far away from my retirement plan although I have the 100k of cash. What is the problem of 100k? Well, there is no problem with the 100k of money, the problem is cash. Meaning, I do not own anything at all. Yes nothing. No asset, no property, no life insurance. Nothing.

That is the risk. The money can get depreciate. When I am 40, for sure the 100k value will not be same as 100k as now.

I am still proud of myself for working hard and able to save that much of money despite I am only a normal executive who is not working in a MNC company (MNC for sure the pay will be much different). But still something is lacking here.

I had spend my most energetic 10 years working hard and the 100k is what I got. I know if another 10 years I will not be able to work as hard as previous. My body would not allow this. This is the critical part.

My Initial Retirement Plan

I have this so call retirement plan in my heads when I graduate from college about 9 years ago.
I was just graduated from a non-famous Malaysia University on Oct-2004. Lucky enough to get hired on March 2005 earning SGD 2,200 that time as a IT support Analyst in a local government link company.

What was in my mind that time, I will give myself some time till I am 40. Then I will retired. That time I call the thought as retirement plan with basically no detail planning at all and its purely just a thought and what we call it as just a dream.

9 years passed and now I am only about 5.5 years away before I reached my 40. I only can tell, I do not think I can retired on that age.

Why?
1) My initial plan does not have any details at all.
2) What is my current saving or asset? definitely I cant retired when I reach 40. (will explain in depth).

Back these few days I kept thinking and something keep bothering me. How and when I can retired?
I do not want to work to feed myself when I am more than 50. I should be only work because I am happy on what I am working on when I age 50 or more.

What I want? what should I do? My initial plan for sure will failed me.
I know I could not escape from all these. Face it now or face it later.

You & Mee Indonesia Noodles @United Square Novena

Noodles is my favorite but seriously I had never ever tried the Indonesia noodles before until my colleague who is from Inonesia brought me to this place, You & Mee in united square.

We ordered different noodles Mee Bakso (first photo)and Mee Kang Kung (last photo). How is the taste? Well, you have to follow the instructions. Depends on which one you ordered there is a reference for what chilli you have to put in to enhance the taste of the noodles.

For me, I always like the first type of chilli. There are 7 in total, from blended red chilli to chilli in vinegar to white strong vinegar alone. Pick yours, mix it up and just enjoy.

The price, surprisingly ok, with around SGD5 per bowl. You can always topup with drinks/desert or crackers.

There also card for you to collect chop where you can redeem items like desert, free drinks or free bowl of noodles.

👍👍👍

Worth to try!!!

Sandwich Lunch from Cold Storage at price less than SGD5

No kidding, its under SGD5 for lunch in CBD area.
I walked into cold storage in Plaza Singapura at dhoby ghaut. Bought a honey ham oatmeal bread sandwich combo come with 1 selections of drinks (for me, i choose ginger beer). Well, I believed that the drink itself may cost you around the price of SGD5. But with the combo, you get the set come with sandwich.
Beside this, you still can choose the heat up the sandwich or not.
Just tell the person which sandwich you want and what are the drinks. Grab, pay in cashier (present the passion cards to earn points) and go.
Simple, no queue, fill your tummy within the budget.
